Indoor Water Garden
You can bring the outdoors right into your own house by
creating an indoor water garden. Use small containers such as flower pots, oversized kitchen containers, or a
plastic tub. Any type of small basin
that will contain water without leaking will work. Customize it by drawing or just painting on some color on the
outside of the container to make it unique. You can plug any holes by using an aquarium sealant. If needed, place a small pre-formed liner
within the container. You can keep your
indoor water garden simple by adding some river rock, a small mechanical pump,
and a bubbler fountain. Add a small
plant to your indoor water garden if you have enough space, but remember that
some plants can be overwhelming and may be more than what you want to deal with
inside of your home.
If you are not sure where you would want to place an
indoor water garden, here are a few suggestions. If you like to hear the peaceful rhythm of flowing water at night
while you sleep, place your indoor water garden fountain in your bedroom upon
your dresser. If you enjoy the soothing
sounds while relaxing, place an indoor water fountain in your bathroom while
taking a bath or in a den while you are reading. If it is small, then it is portable. Move it around until you feel it is where you would like it to
be.
